Literatur LIVE: Mareike Fallwickl – "Haltet euch fest"
Handlung
A new story that we desperately need: Luzia grows up in a loving household that serves as a refuge for a diverse group of people. In the house, various forms of love – queer, platonic, and many others – as well as shared parenting are practiced. Later, as an adult, Luzia fights against patriarchal structures as a theater director and tries to bring about positive change. Her friend Marle, whom she has known since childhood, feels a strong desire to have children in her early forties and decides to take an unconventional path away from dating and relationships with men. In the house, she finds great solidarity. But suddenly, after a devastating storm, everything this chosen family has built together over decades seems threatened. What does it take for such a community to survive in times like these?
This powerful book challenges our beliefs about friendship and romance and courageously describes the utopia we wish for our lives.
