About this cinema

CineMotion opened on 11 December 1998 as a nine-screen multiplex on the former site of the Institut für Lehrerbildung's lecture hall in Hohenschönhausen. It has operated continuously since, rebranded from its original operator to CineMotion under new management in 2008.

The multiplex plays mostly dubbed Hollywood blockbusters for the district's largely young audience, across nine auditoriums with over 2,000 seats combined. A bar on the upper floor is available for private hire alongside the usual concessions in the foyer.
