Cineplex Alhambra
About this cinema
Films have been shown on this Wedding corner since 1912, first in the back room of a garden restaurant. A cinema called Apollo opened in 1916 and became the Alhambra in 1921; it was rebuilt in 1953 after war damage. Between 1999 and 2002 it gave way to today's multiplex, with 1,153 seats over four floors.
Of the 45 cinemas Wedding once had, the Alhambra is the last commercial one standing. It regularly shows Turkish and Arabic films in the original version, and some screenings offer D-BOX motion seats or Dolby Atmos sound. It sits on the corner of Müllerstraße and Seestraße, steps from the U6.
