About this cinema

CUBIX was the last cinema the UFA group built new, on the site of the Alextreff restaurant at Alexanderplatz. It opened as the CUBIX UFA-Palast, passed to CineStar in 2003 and dropped the UFA name in 2005. Its nine screens sit in a glass-fronted cube, and it has been a Berlinale venue since 2007.

Alongside the big releases, a large part of the programme runs in the original version, so it is a dependable choice in Mitte for films in their original language. Every hall is wheelchair accessible and has wheelchair spaces. Alexanderplatz station, with S-Bahn, U-Bahn and trams, is right outside the door.
