City Kino Wedding Berlin
About this cinema
The single-screen City Kino Wedding occupies the listed Centre Français complex, a 1958-built hall that served as the French cultural centre until 1992. After running as City Wedding from 1996 to 2007 and standing dark for years, it reopened as City Kino Wedding on 13 September 2014.
The programme mixes European and Francophone art films, classics, documentaries and family screenings, with more than a dozen festivals a year including Berlinale Goes Kiez. A 35mm projector remains in the booth alongside digital equipment, though it isn't currently in regular use.
