About this cinema

Sinema Transtopia opened at its Wedding location on Lindower Straße on 15 January 2023, in a former backyard workshop hall. The project began in 2020 as a temporary programme at Haus der Statistik near Alexanderplatz. It runs a single 78-seat screen, equipped for D-Cinema 2K, 35mm and 16mm projection.

Go for the programme, not a quiet night out: expect historical and contemporary films tied to transnational, post-migrant and postcolonial perspectives, screened in their original version, alongside talks, workshops and symposia. A bar operates inside, and school groups are a regular part of the audience.
