UCI Kinowelt Gropius Passagen
About this cinema
UCI opened this cinema on 30 October 1997 on the second floor of the Gropius Passagen, which grew into the largest shopping centre in Berlin. Its six screens hold 1,695 seats; the biggest, Kino 4, seats 491 in front of a 157-square-metre screen. The two-level foyer sits beside a glass dome.
Five halls share one design of black ceilings and red walls; Kino 4 is the exception. The programme is mainstream first-run cinema in German. The centre has its own entrance from the U7 station Johannisthaler Chaussee, and parking for over 2,000 cars.
