Metropolis

The Dawn of Sci-Fi — with Live Music by the Babylon Orchestra Berlin

100 years ago, this sci-fi masterpiece almost brought the German film industry into bankruptcy because of its enormous budget—yet it revolutionized cinema, both technically and conceptually.

The film’s visual effects will make your jaw drop. Metropolis’s story is about the dangers of technology, yet the film itself is the ultimate fruit of technology.

Don’t miss the chance to see Metropolis accompanied by live music from the Babylon Orchestra Berlin. The film’s vision of the dangers of unchecked technological progress remains as relevant today as it was in 1927.
